The Managing Director David Phillips, a graduate engineer, started in a research environment at SIRA. He joined Amelec in 1977.

Amelec were encouraged to design and manufacture very specific instruments by one of our long established client originally known as the C.E.G.B now known as the various Nuclear / Fossil fuelled power stations. This has resulted in our having a range or conditioning units that meet the needs of a very technically demanding customer.

Amelec's extensive range of Signal Conditioning products include: Signal Isolators, Signal Boosters/Splitters, Transmitters/Isolators, Trip Amplifiers, Trip Transmitters, Arithmetic units and Power Transducers.

The Company has a standard range of products plus those customer specials required to meet the individual needs of the industries that we serve.

Amelec Instruments have over the years also been entrusted within major projects in many other industrial sectors, BNFL, ICI, Zeneca, Shell, BP to name just but a few.

The Water authorities throughout the U.K. have proved to be a major source of our business both directly, via the design houses and panel manufacturers.

Additionally our products are supplied to overseas clients both directly and through a number of well-established agents.

To support the product we also supply: Lightning protection barriers and Current transformers.

All instrumentation produced by Amelec are manufactured under the accredited ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System (Cert No: LRQ 0928767). The units being designed manufactured tested and shipped from the factory in Milton Keynes.
